In critical situations, access to rapid and reliable information can make all the difference. The use of drones in search and rescue operations represents a high-potential area of application, capable of supporting operational teams by providing an immediate and detailed aerial view of the affected areas.
In the future, these technologies will make it possible to:
- facilitate the location of missing or distressed persons
- improve the assessment of environmental conditions and the passability of routes
- identify obstacles or hazardous situations not visible from the ground
- support the analysis and planning of interventions
The integration of advanced sensors and data processing systems can help increase the effectiveness and speed of operations, particularly in complex or hard-to-reach environments.
This field falls within SkySight’s areas of technological development and experimentation, with the aim of exploring new applications for UAV systems in advanced operational scenarios.
Note: the application described is currently under development and testing. SkySight does not currently provide an operational search and rescue service that can be activated on demand. We are open to exploring partnerships with agencies, companies or organisations interested in developing these solutions.
